The Madonie promise an exceptional timeline of events as early as January with one of the most evocative living nativity scenes in Sicily and Italy: the town of Gangi transports us from Nazareth to Bethlehem, proposing an immersion in the daily life of ancient Palestine, enriched by the evocative streets of the town of Gangi. The figurants recreate what life was like in ancient Palestine and the moment of the saviour’s birth.

Gangi, Italy’s most beautiful village in 2014, is located in the centre of Sicily and the Madonie Mountains.

A guide in period dress will accompany you during your visit to the living nativity scene, and the participants will also wear typical period costumes, accompanied by sets from another era.

Music will not be missing either! Music will be an integral part of the itinerary to fully immerse you in the visit. The event will start in December 2023 and continue until January 2024.
