Eat Capone: fishing tourism, guided tours and tastings to discover Cefalù

This year, Cefalù hosts once again Eat Capone, the event that celebrates the history and culture of the magical seaside town through its symbolic fish – the capone.

On 7, 8, and 9 October 2022, for the fourth edition of the event, Eat Capone invites tourists and visitors to immerse themselves in a historical and enogastronomic itinerary in the heart of Cefalù’s historical centre, in via Mandralisca, right next to the cathedral, where the Capone Village will be set up. Here, amidst tastings, cooking shows and artistic installations, visitors will be guided to the discovery of the true identity of Cefalù, a small town yet full of qualities, just like the blue fish that is caught in its waters.

Countless opportunities to get to know Cefalù for those who decide to take part in the event: among the activities organised by the protagonists of the Capone fishing industry themselves (including fishermen, restaurateurs, nutritionists, etc.), there will be guided tours to discover the ancient fishing methods and traditional fishing boats, through the intervention of the last elderly artisans still active in Cefalù, boat trips and guided fishing tourism activities, and conferences attended by authorities, journalists, and food critics.

Opening hours

Cefalù, 9 October 2022

12:00 to 15:00 and 19:00 to 22:30
